Inoka Priyadarshani - Team Member in charge of Research and Evaluation

Inoka Priyadarshani has extensive experience of integrating peacebuilding work into the development projects for over 8 years.  She was the Project Coordinator of the Development and Peace Sri Lanka (DPSL) project implemented by the international NGO Swisscontact.  She has designed and delivered Youth and Community Empowerment training, career guidance counselling and other activities in development projects.  Inoka is an appreciated facilitator of service improvement (good governance) for sustainable change in selected public administrative organizations.  She is a facilitator in Non-violent Conflict Resolution, Peacebuilding, Conflict Sensitivity, and capacity building of community based organizations integrating Life Skills.  Inoka had conducted Peace and Conflict Impact Assessments, Needs Assessments and Midterm and End of Project Evaluations.  Inoka is an unswerving facilitator of community development process. She holds a BA (Hons) in Sociology, Post Graduate Diploma on Conflict Resolution and Peace Preparedness from the University of Bradford, UK, and MSc in Social Research Skills from the University of Ulster, UK.

Jayandra Seneviratne - Team Leader in charge of Training and Project Management

Jay Seneviratne is versatile in the phases of Project Management specialising in development projects, for over 9 years.  He has held positions of Senior Programme Officer, Project Manager and Resident Representative for the International NGO Swisscontact.  Jay was the Project Manager for the first Local Economic Development (LED) project in Sri Lanka for the development of competitive business sectors that create space for the poor; and the innovative strategic approach to enhance Divisional and District Secretariat service improvement (Good governance) in the public administrative system.  Jay’s aspiration lies in developing the ‘training methodology’ that makes learning a pleasant, indirect, leaner centred process on any subject.  He was the Project Manager and resource person for the empowering of over 1500 marginalised youth through a Counselling Cycle Approach that integrated career guidance counselling and life skills.  He was the lead trainer in training Master Trainers and Instructors of the Vocational Training (VT) sector in Sri Lanka, from needs analysis, design, development, to implementation. He has been one of the pioneers in introducing Supervision of Instruction (SOI) to the VT sector. Jay comes from a navigational background of over 12 years and has been a lecturer in Global Maritime Distress Safety System.  He holds a National Diploma in Training and Development, Diploma in Psychology and an Advance Diploma in Counselling Psychology from the American College of Higher Education and MSc in Project Management from Curtin University of Technology, Australia.
